Complaint portal forSoorley Street Transitional Accommodation

This is independent. It is not run by Homes NSW or Social Futures.

  • No one from Homes NSW or Social Futures runs this form or reads what you send.
  • Your complaint is not passed on directly to Social Futures or the transitional housing providers.
  • The purpose is twofold: first, to get you the help you need; second, to show a pattern of concern to the Ombudsman.

You have rights.

Social Futures, Homes NSW and the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) have a strict legal and ethical duty of care to you. They must respect your basic human rights.

Under the law and the housing rules, they must keep you safe — your body and your mind — treat you with fairness and respect, and not leave you homeless.

If they are not doing this, tell us. It is not your fault.

Your voice matters. Tell us what is happening with Social Futures, Homes NSW or DCJ. No sign-in. Free. Go at your own pace.

What is GIPA?

GIPA is a NSW law that lets you ask to see the records agencies hold about you — including your housing file. It stands for "Government Information (Public Access)".

You can apply yourself using the official Homes NSW / DCJ form. You may need ID. A formal request may have a fee. This is separate from sending a complaint here.

Your personal details and story stay private. The public complaints list shows a random reference number, the date, organisations, ticked issues and selected outcomes only. Someone who knows about an incident may still recognise it.
